Upcoming Workshop: Virtual Train-the-Trainer workshop for Goal Management Training® offered through Baycrest Rotman Research Institute
Date: December 11, 2020
On December 11, join our virtual train-the-trainer workshop to learn the latest clinical-scientific information concerning the assessment of executive functions and their evidence-based rehabilitation with Goal Management Training® (GMT). Grounded in neuroscience theory, the emphasis of the workshop will be on practical application, with use of clinical cases.
Executive functions mediate the control, direction, and regulation of cognitive and mental processes. These skills are affected in conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, multiple sclerosis, and psychiatric disorders.
This workshop is designed for:
-Allied health professionals involved in clinical assessment and treatment of patients with brain or mental health disorders -Researchers studying executive functioning in healthy people or people with brain or mental health disorders -Clinical or research trainees and students
Participants will learn from Dr. Brian Levine (Baycrest’s Rotman Research Institute), who is the primary developer of GMT. This workshop will also cover GMT as delivered remotely through telemedicine, with Charlene O'Connor (Homewood Health) and Dr. Susan Vandermorris (Baycrest).
